Automatic information collection

When you access this website, our server automatically collects the information needed to send files that are compatible with your device. The information collected is as follows:

  • your Internet service provider;
  • your IP address (the numerical address that precisely locates a device connected to the Internet, such as: 123.45.67.890);
  • your browser type (such as Firefox or Explorer) and operating system (such as Windows or Mac OS);
  • the pages you visit;
  • the date and time of access to each page;
  • the address of the referring site, if you access this website from another site.

Most of the information collected automatically does not reveal your identity. It is collected solely to meet the technological requirements of Internet communication.

The MTESS retains the data for statistical purposes. It is used to count the number of visits and identify the most frequently consulted pages, the technology used by visitors, the addresses of the referring sites and the visitors’ country of origin.

Use of cookies

Cookies are used to assist navigation on the pages of this website. They do not involve the collection of personal information on visitors. At any time, you can block cookies through your browser, although this may prevent you from using some features of the site.

If you are using a device in a public space or sharing a device with other users, make sure you delete all the information in the browser history before terminating your session.

Use of Google Analytics

The MTESS uses Google Analytics, a website analysis tool provided by Google.

Using cookies, Google Analytics collects information about your visit to the section, for example concerning the pages you view, the date and time of your visit and the links you click. It also collects information on your device’s operating system, your browser’s language setting, the name of your Internet service provider and your geographic location. The data collected and your anonymized (shortened) IP address are stored by Google on servers located mainly in the United States. Google uses the information solely to produce statistics and reports on browsing in the website.

Google can disclose this data to third parties if legally obliged to do so or for processing by third parties at Google’s request. Google will not link your IP address to any other data it retains.

You can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on on your device to prevent Google Analytics from recording data on your visits.

Only authorized members of our staff or the staff of our mandataries have access to the information. The information is communicated solely in the cases provided for in the Act. It may also be used for research, evaluation, investigation and survey purposes. The Act allows you to consult and rectify the personal information held concerning you. Requests for rectification must be sent to the MTESS coordinator for access to documents and the protection of personal information.
