CIVICUS World Assembly: Global civil society forum
CIVICUS, the World Alliance for Citizen Participation, will be holding its eleventh World Assembly in Montréal from September 3 to 7, 2012.
The CIVICUS World Assembly is expected to draw close to a thousand participants from over 100 countries involved in all areas of civil society. The gathering will be an opportunity for them to join together to seek ways to bolster citizen action and global governance processes.
In partnership with Institut du Nouveau Monde (INM), the Government of Québec is proud to be associated with this event, which will allow civil society to reflect on best practices and innovative ideas in a participatory, interactive event.
This thrid and final edition of a cycle of three CIVICUS World Assemblies in Montréal will be held under the theme Defining a new social contract – making the future together. This year’s dialogue will be divided into three program tracks:
