Québec has also developed unique expertise in outdoor design through specific programs in the field of landscape architecture and design. Specialized university programs have been created in this field and their graduates have gone on to found firms such as Nip Design and Espace Drar, which have delivered projects in many countries in Europe and the Americas, and even in India.
This specific field is also home to original creative work, which is promoted by an model organization that invites architects and designers from around the world to experiment in Québec. Created in 2000, the International Garden Festival held by the Reford Gardens is a unique crossroads between landscape design, garden design, architecture, design and environmental art.
