The tradition of theatrical storytelling has been brought back to life by a group of young and active storytellers who blend modern and traditional storytelling techniques in their rousing performances. The undisputed leader of this movement, who has performed in auditoriums, cafes and bars, is Fred Pellerin. His stories, which are based on the town of Saint-Élie-de-Caxton, have been enthusiastically received throughout the French-speaking world.
