Admission process
To be admitted into a college-level program, you must first select a program and the institution at which you wish to study.
Applications for admission into a public college (known as a collège d'enseignement général et professionnel or CEGEP in Québec) are usually sent to one of 3 regional admission services offices (each office serves CEGEPS from one specific region):
If you would like to apply to a public CEGEP that is not served by a regional admissions office or to any other college-level institution, please make direct contact with that institution.
For an overview of the post-secondary admission process, please consult the section Applying for admission into a college.
Practical information
- You should submit no more than one application for admission to a given regional admissions office service in any 12-month period. If your application is unsuccessful, the regional admissions office will ask you to submit a second choice of program/institution.
- The deadline for submitting an application may vary from institution to institution. For information on deadlines, please contact the institution you would like to attend.
- Please be sure to carefully follow the procedures for foreign students. These procedures may differ from the procedures for Québec students. Please also be sure to determine whether the program you wish to enrol in is open to foreign nationals.
