Technical training
Québec’s technical training system includes 115
three-year programs in five areas:
- Biology
- Physics
- Social sciences
- Administration
- Art
Technical training programs lead to the labour market. Programs are developed in collaboration with employers to ensure that the training offered is relevant and tailored to changing needs.
Most technical training programs include on-the-job internships. To take part in an internship, you must have a work permit and a social insurance number (SIN).
In recent years, Québec has seen a growing demand for workers in certain technical fields— which is why so much emphasis is placed on technical education. In Québec, over 75% of persons who have completed a vocational or technical training program find full-time work within a year of graduation.
