Québec’s aerospace sector has sales of over $12.3 billion (2008), employs 42 400 people, and represents 60% of the Canadian aerospace industry.
In the aerospace sector, Québec ranks fifth worldwide, after the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany. Over 80% of Québec’s output is exported. The strength of Québec’s aerospace industry is founded on the presence of several world-class principal contractors and equipment manufacturers.

Several companies have become world leaders through the products they manufacture in Québec, including Bombardier (business and regional jets), Bell Helicopter (commercial helicopters), CAE (flight simulators), and Pratt & Whitney Canada (engines for business and regional jets and helicopters).
