Québec Government Representative: Denis Turcotte
Denis Turcotte trained as a jurist, and has spent his entire career with the Québec public service. He has held a variety of positions with the Ministère des Affaires culturelles, the Ministère des Communications, the Secrétariat aux affaires intergouvernementales canadiennes and the Ministère des Relations internationales.
He has been involved in international affairs for over a decade. Among other roles, he was senior adviser and public affairs adviser at Québec Government Office in Toronto and Québec Government Office in London (UK). He also served as chargé d’affaires at both of these locations for several months.
Upon his return to Québec in September 2003, he was instrumental in drafting public affairs reform in his capacity as expert adviser in communication strategies. In the fall of 2004, Denis Turcotte was named director of information at the Ministère des Relations internationales, a job he held until his appointment to his new position in Los Angeles on October 19, 2005.
