Québec Delegate General : André Boisclair
André Boisclair took office as Québec Delegate General in New York on November 12, 2012. He had been working as a strategic development and public affairs consultant since 2007, with a particular interest in the strategically important energy sector.
He holds a master's degree in public administration from Harvard University. He is also certified as an Administrateur de sociétés by Université Laval’s Collège des adminstrateurs de sociétés and studied economics at Université de Montréal.
Mr. Boisclair has extensive experience with the machinery of government, having successively served as Minister of Relations with Citizens and Immigration, Minister of Social Solidarity, Minister of the Environment, and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Greater Montréal before assuming the leadership of the Parti Québécois between 2005 and 2007. He also taught strategic communication at Concordia University.
