School vacations
For elementary school students (aged 12 and under) and secondary school students (aged 17 and under), summer vacation starts a few days before June 24, the National Holiday, and generally ends in the last week of August.
For college and university students, the summer vacation starts earlier, often at the beginning of May, but also ends in late August.
