Childrens' rights
The Québec Charter of human rights and freedoms recognizes the rights and freedoms of all human beings living in Québec, whatever their age. However, some of the rights set out by the Charter relate specifically to children and teenagers.
In addition, the provincial Youth Protection Act and federal Youth Criminal Justice Act define specific rights for children and teenagers subject to protection measures or who have committed an offence.
