Call for Proposals to Reduce GHG Emissions in Rail and Marine Transport

The Ministère des Transports du Québec has established the Assistance Program Aiming to Reduce or Avoid Greenhouse Gas Emissions (PAREGES) byimplementing intermodal rail and marine transport projects.

Companies, municipal organizations and other legally constituted organizations with a place of business in Québec are eligible.

A component of this program allows applicants (mainlyshippers who use a transport solution thatreducesgreenhouse gas emissions) to obtain amaximum assistance amount of $250 per tonne of reduced or avoided GHG emissions.This amount applies to the entire project and the financial contributionmay not exceed $3 million.
