Economic activity down slightly in January 2012

Québec’s real gross domestic product (GDP) at basic prices decreased by 0.1% in January 2012, following a recorded increase of 0.7% in December 2011.

Québec’s economy grew 0.6% compared to January 2011, while the corresponding rate in Canada was 1.7%.
