Launch of the Prêt à entreprendre program – United to support new Québec entrepreneurs

The gouvernement du Québec, the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (Caisse), the Mouvement Desjardins and Capital régional et coopératif Desjardins, the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec (FCCQ), the Fondation de l'entrepreneurship (FDE) and Québecor have joined forces to kick off the Prêt à entreprendre program.

The program offers entrepreneurs comprehensive assistance through interest-free, unsecured loans of up to $30 000, coupled with mentoring and technical support. The program has a budget on the order of $7 million and is funded by three of the project’s partners: the gouvernement du Québec ($4 million), the Caisse ($1 million) and Desjardins ($2 million).
