Voting by mail for electors temporarily absent from Québec


The Chief Electoral Officer of Québec, Jacques Drouin, wishes to inform Québec electors who are currently staying outside Québec, or are about to do so, that they can register effective immediately to avail themselves of voting by mail at the time of a general election, a by-election or a referendum.
The electors concerned by this measure are those who are temporarily away from Québec for two years or less and who intend to return to Québec. Should elections or a referendum be held, these electors will be able to vote by mail, if they are entered on the registry of electors outside Québec. The registration form can be downloaded from our website at the following address:
