Major amendments to the guarantee plan for new residential buildings

The Regulation to amend the Regulation respecting the guarantee plan for new residential buildings has several components that cover more than 50 provisions concerning, in particular, the conditions for the authorization of managers, the rules of governance and the framework policies for managers.

The draft regulation will be published in the Gazette officielle du Québec of May 30, 2012, after which organizations will have 45 days to submit their comments. The coming into force of the regulation is scheduled for January 2013.
