Prepublication of the draft regulation respecting the certification of private seniors’ residences

The draft regulation defines, among other things, the conditions that must be fulfilled to obtain a temporary certificate of compliance in order to begin operating a private seniors’ residence. It also establishes the minimum number of persons that must be present in the residence at all times, the verification of the judicial records of employees and volunteers, the standardization of the tools that can be used to assess the seniors’ autonomy, and the training of the care attendants.

Those wishing to comment on the draft Regulation respecting the conditions for obtaining a certificate of compliance and the operating standards for a private seniors’ residence can do so before Saturday, July 14, at the ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux.
